So as a pedestrian (we don’t have a car), we walk a lot and take public transportation.  Nothing special here except over the course of our travels, we tend to find a lot of pennies that people have thrown away or didn’t bother to pick up when dropped.  We find change often enough that we both have coin jars.

Last year, Little Mouse decided to save all the found coins over the course of a year to see how much she collects.  It is amazing how much change is discarded on the street.

This morning we counted the change, mostly pennies and dimes.  $8.18 found!

So we’re starting again today.  We’re both going to do it and see who finds more.  Let the games begin!
